While most of our blog is devoted to the stories of our antique pieces, this doesn't mean we love our custom designed jewelry any less. One of our latest creations is a scene-stealing, handmade diamond and 14k white gold ring.
Most of these gemstones were given as gifts to celebrate milestones in a woman’s life: Her first studs following ear piercing at age 6, a diamond to commemorate high school graduation. However, all were in yellow gold settings, which she found herself never wearing. She wanted to change that, and to incorporate all of her gems into one piece.
We drew sketches of six different ring designs and she chose her favorite. While most of the diamonds in this ring came from previously gifted jewelry, others we purchased to help soften the color graduation from white to champagne to cognac.
Then, the band was made by hand, we set the diamonds, and voila! A fabulous ring that reimagines treasured jewelry into a modern, wearable piece that fits our client’s style.
